Why Tiny Wings is my favorite mobile game

1) One man project - Tiny Wings was created by a German game developer named Andreas Illiger.  Everything about the game, the visuals, programming, and audio was all his work - with the exception of Box2d Physics.  It's inspiring to see one person make such a successful product.

2) The idea - Tiny Wings has a simple idea of trying to fly through the air.  To do this players must press down on the screen in order to drop towards the ground, slide down a hill, and then release to soar through the air.  The game ends when nigh time catches up with the bird.  The idea is extremely simple, and because of that it is easy for anyone to pick up the game and play. It's easy to play but difficult to master.  The simplicity of the game makes it shine.

3) Fun factor - Tiny Wings is just a blast!  I have so much fun every time I open up the app, the only game for iOS devices I have played for over a year.  With high score tables it's great to compare results with friends and always improve on your record.  For 99 cents this game is a complete deal.

What I would change about Tiny Wings

It's extremely difficult to think of ways Tiny Wings can improve.  The game already has objectives players can strive towards in order to level up their 'nest', replay value, great physics, and fantastic visuals/ audio.  Out of all the iPhone games I've played, this is the only one I would truly declare as being perfect.

A simple, beautiful, and challenging iPhone game.
